Stray Department is a community driven effort focused on helping stray and abandoned cats in Detroit mainly through TNR (trap-neuter-release).

We are certified volunteers working to make a difference one cat at a time, helping them get off the streets, get the care they need through trusted Detroit non-profit organizations, and, whenever possible, find safe and loving homes.

This isn’t a formal rescue organization. It’s simply one person doing what they can for the cats in their community, with the help of friends, neighbors, local organizations, and everyone who believes these animals deserve a chance.

One cat at a time. One case at a time.
